Why Do Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Brooklyn Paws Foundation cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs

$550 - Puppies/Dogs aged between 8 weeks through year 1
$500 - Dogs aged 2 years through year 3
$450 - Dogs aged 4 years through year 6
$350 - Dogs aged 7 years through year 9
$300 - Dogs aged 10 years and up

Cats

$250- Kittens 0-8 Months
$215- Kittens 8 Months - 2 Years
$185 - Cats 2-5 Years
$150- Cats 5-11 Years
$125- Cats 11 Years +

Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Brooklyn Paws Foundation cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Brooklyn Paws Foundation dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
Bordetella
Negative Heartworm, Lyme's, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis Test
Lyme Vaccine (if relevant)
Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
Micro-chipped
